The uneasy quietness that has blanketed the entire Nigeria populace these days indicates unequivocally that something went horribly wrong with Nigeria Presidential elections 2023. We have observed sporadic protests, finger-pointing, tongue-in-cheeks, widely well reported blatant irregularities, tepid welcome directed to the “victor” whose lieutenants fill the discussion waves with contorted twists in their attempt to explain away apparent compromise of the sanctity of Nigeria election 2023.

One of the core anchors and beauty of 21st century is the application of technology to all aspects of modern civilization. Where correctly applied it is no gainsaying that life is made better. However where wrongly applied the same technology becomes the sad undoing of the user since technology does not forget or forgive.

When the Independent Electoral Commission of Nigeria (INEC) resorted to technology assisted elections in 2023 there was renewed hope in an agency fraught with tainted past. Incidentally that hope of all expectant Nigeria Nation was dashed as conflicting compromises were manifestly discernable. These were not doctored or photo-shopped data and images but apparent raw data from INEC own portal floating around in searchable web and social media.

In Tech world certain technology architectures could handle billions of traffic with ease. Nigeria was grateful when the Federal Government made sufficient funds available to INEC to create and build electronic system that could par with election traffic of Nigeria. Excuses that such system failed; crashed or malfunctioned points only palpable maliciousness and regrettable unforced human error directed at sacrosanct electoral process. The world is shocked.

Nigeria American Republican Patriots (N-ARP) believes that justice is served when justice also seems to be served. Therefore, call on the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Independent Electoral Commission to conduct appropriate forensic of 2023 Elections in Nigeria deploying existing and available maximum technology to offer Nigeria population the trust vested on them. N-ARP equally for every individual who compromised that Election process directly or indirectly when found guilty in courts of competent jurisdiction to be handed the full weight of justice for their dastardly and nefarious criminality.

Thank You.

Jerome Obinabo

President
